Netra Naik
Myself Netra Naik, from the beautiful place Goa. I am a professional Teacher, certified Career Counselor, Phonics educator, Vedic Math and Abacus trainer. And I would like to put all this designations under one roof that is, EDUCATOR, who is here to boost in the young generations education experience. But now l am preparing myself to be a Edupreuner so that I can help kids all over the world.
There’s a long story , hard work and of course the difficulties to reach here.
I love teaching. I love being with kids, sharing my knowledge and learning at the same time. And this passion in me, i believe helps me focused inspite of many difficulties. I am from middle class family.
I still remember my mom used to tell me that, I use to take a slate and a chalk, act like a teacher when i was small. So there it all started. I completed my schooling in CBSE board residence school. So there it was more of studies but less society exposure. There were extra curricular and sports exposure. But very less of society experience as obvious we were far away from society. Here the self consciousness starting building. After my metrics, I chose to go ahead with science stream as I loved science other than any other subject. There I experienced a different world, i will say a modern world as I was out of my resident school. I was experiencing the teenage college days, same what they show in movies. And experiencing the life norms. That how difficult is life. “Childhood is gone. Now it’s time to be serious “realisation time.
Taking my teacher’s guidance I went to do the correspondence diploma in child teaching and education while doing my graduation. And as I was clear with my passion,I went for an interview for teacher post. It was my first interview and I got selected. It was for the various schools in Maharashtra. I decided to go for it. I managed for a year to stay away from home. But I faced unbearable home sickness.I left the school after working for a year. But this gave me clarity that, yes!I want to be a teacher. But Due to financial conditions, I wasn’t able to pursue my Bachelor’s in Education which is must to be in teaching field. I tried looking out for government seat, but due to reservation criterias I didn’t get the chance. So instead of dropping the thought or to divert my passion I chose to continue my journey in teaching.
Teaching as a profession people or the society think it’s easy and low status job. Which is not.Without focussing on all this suggestions, I decided to chose the path of teaching. After this, I worked as a trainee teacher, assistant teacher in schools for temporary period. Then I came across one institute for helping kids with learning difficulties hiring remedial educator. And here I completely got a different view about education for kids.I got to know various difficulties kids face while learning and how to help them out.Unfortunately due to certain reasons, that institute got shut down. But I continued my journey as a remedial educator at another centre offering remedial classes for such children. And I am still into it, working in case basis structure. So now as my financial conditions were stable, I thought of completing my B. Ed and in the year 2020 I pursued my Bachelor’s in Education and a
assigned a professional teacher tag. But the year 2020,as all of you all remember the year of pandemic. So now I have completed my B. Ed, but due to this pandemic I was stuck, in fact everyone was stuck inside. But the passion to teach didn’t stop here. I tried checking out for other ways of being in teaching field, and the online teaching I came across with. So Since then I am working as an English Educator. And although the pandemic was harsh no doubt, but this gave everyone to think about their potentials. And explore other ways. So even I thought of learning more in this education field. And became a certified career counselor, vedic math and abacus trainer.
And last year in july I thought off to give a kick to my dream of opening an educational centre providing various educational services. But again due to covid, can’t think of going physical as it will be a complete loss. So again, instead of dropping the plan, i went ahead with online approach. And started my online education centre “Co-unselling” which provides varied education services.
And here I want to mention, I am alone in this journey. I am learning and applying to grow my business.
And soon I am planning to go on physical mode as the covid is down.
And hoping I will get it done! So far my believe in myself, my focus in my passion kept me going. Instead of focussing on all the difficulties i faced everytime, I kept it on my passion that is teaching.
Thank you
