A proud daughter

I’m the third daughter of the family hence named as Nisha- satisfaction. When I was born initially nobody was happy although I’m an apple of an eye of my family today. I was the best Table Tennis player of my school. Due to some family problems, I left engineering midway and took admission in BA. I can recollect how people used to mock at me but I was determined and got scholarship in graduation. I broke all the previous records of marks of English Literature exam. Ecstatic to share my rejoinder to see my picture on the hoarding in front of the gate of college even today.

I filled only one university form for MA ENGLISH and wanted to pursue higher education from Panjab university campus only. The entrance test was on 17th June (my birthday date) I achieved it with flying colours. As I was a hostler, I used to see girls doing part-time jobs to manage their expenses. Out of passion, I started teaching in NGO. In my 4th semester of MA, I joined a nearby gym, a caretaker of the gym approached me to teach her basic English so that she can clear one government exam and can comprehend her husband in providing basic necessities to their kids. Till date, I have no idea who recommended my name to her I was not a professional that time. I was surprised. I commenced with the coaching and only few days were left for the exam, I told my mother, I m tensed for this girl how she will clear it? My mother, a firm believer in God and karma vehemently said you both will be crowned with success. Her sheer faith in you and your kind heartedness will be highly applauded. A mother’s blessing is the purest form of love and an indispensable factor for personal evolution. She cleared the exam and the recognition I got is cumbersome to put in words.

I started teaching in an IELTS institute. The head of the institute gave me 5 books for editing. I found numerous errors in one of the book and boldly told them. At first they were reluctant but after receiving few calls from students across the city they admit it and gave me further 20 books to edit. (Totally unaware about the fact that in future I myself will b the author of innumerable books) I started my own wave of teaching with fun activities. Everyday I was gaining momentum and who so ever used to visit for demo mention that they need demo from Nisha ma’am. When sir was giving my first check, I vividly remember, he penned 10,000 on the check and said May the proceeding zero’s grow with every day of your life. You deserve success at an unprecedented scale.

One day when I was taking my class , I received a call from my brother who was weeping ,I hurriedly rushed to home and came to know that mum diagnosed with cancer. We all were both shattered and broken. When mum was undergoing her treatment, I did Sunder Kand path for the very first time. Sunderkand is the fifth chapter of the Seven Chapters of Shri Ramcharit Manas. It talks about Realization of power within Shri Hanuman ji, about execution of very difficult tasks & his journey to Lanka as a messenger of Shri Ram. The lessons that I learnt – Always understand or get overview of your problem, Have Faith in the Almighty, Goodness/Qualities of a person can never be hidden , it will eventually be realized. It does not needs marketing, Always surround yourself with people who will give you true feedback, Adulation might please the ears , but it will certainly not help in your growth.

While Mum was recovering, I received a call from one of my friend from same gym to teach youngest Brahma Kumari of the area. I was in delimma and then was being persuaded by Brahma Kumaris. She was extremely excited and urged me to teach her new quotes which she can use while giving discourse. She eventually started using ‘Life is not a bed of roses’ ups and downs are part and parcel of everyone’s life. Me and mum used to listen it on TV everyday. One day, suddenly mum’s health deteriorated, I informed Brahma kumaris that I won’t be able to teach today. After an hour, the house bell rang, I was stunned to see her in front of me and she enthusiastically said ‘ you just March, the path is greener, never look back.

Next fine morning, I got a call from one of the child’s parent whom I had taught in institute that he has 2 students who wants to take classes only from me. I was again unable to decide and my mother said start your journey optimistically. This is how IELTS NISHA built. From one batch a day to 4 batches a day, from one single room to 5 rooms. From 2 students of the town to number of students across the globe.

Amid covid 19 everything was shut, I utilised that time in typing my first book (IELTS.Nisha Academic writing tasks-1&2 ) I was scared because IELTS business witnessed drastic drop. I was fickle minded whether to publish my book or not but Mum advocated there ain’t any second thought on it, go for it. After covid, the first exam writing questions were from my BOOK. I was awestruck. I carved a niche.

My Great Hero, My Dad is a handsome, strong-willed, tender-hearted , one-of-kind personality . He indoctrinates principle like persistent hard work and self confidence in life will definitely lead to success. I always get Goose bumps when I listen my Father’s success stories. Being courageous is a top notch attribute that has been implanted by him in his offsprings. Since my girlhood, Dadyji primarily galvanize Education is your real treasure . During my university Education he used to wake me up at 5 in morning with a cup of ginger tea. He is a business Tycoon n capitalism runs in his veins. When I started my journey as IELTS.NishaGarg , foremost thing He asked me : why students will approach you? what extra, unique you will provide to them ? To be very frank I was speechless that time, had a deep contemplation over it and finally comprehended my supremacy and put them forefront. He is my torch-bearer. My day is incomplete without having discussion with him.

Making Headway towards My Mother. God can not be everywhere so He created Mothers . Mumma is a building block of my family. Her support and firm stand attenuate my worries to zero. Her Anthem for life: A tree when it has no fruit to offer, remains erect. But when the tree is laden with fruit, it bends down. If you are all pride and ego, then nobody will be able to get anything worthwhile from you. When you have genuine humility, it is a sign that you have something to offer to Mankind. Bounteousness, magnanimous, altruistic sums up Mum’s glaring personality . These traits have always been bedrock of my life.

Thank you Heavenly Father , I Am Blessed out ! When I started counting my Blessings My whole life centres around my family : a word of togetherness, love, affection and warmth.
