The phrase “Where there is a will, there is a way” stands appropriate for Viluppuram based Tamilaruvi’s professional life. Her journey from a software developer to become an entrepreneur is highly motivating for many budding women entrepreneurs. Below are the titbits she shared with us,
I (TamilAruvi), started my career as a Java developer in an MNC post my Engineering graduation. Four years later, like every other woman I too got into beautiful and lovable trap which is motherhood. I left my career to take care of my kid but I don’t want myself to confine within four walls idle by taking this as an excuse.
Despite hailing from a family of government employees, I decided to plunge into world of business to quench my thirst and searching my niche. At the same time, I was hunting harmless chemical free ingredients-based soaps and hair oil for my kid, but no luck either. And then I travelled back to my roots in which I digged my ancestral way of preparing home made bathing powder and oils and that was brainchild of “Agnes Herbals”.
I take upon that, honed my skills in the art of preparing traditional hair oils using 25+ herbs by incorporating high-end cleansing, sundry, infusion and extraction techniques. Along with that I learnt to prepare Hygienic Nalungu powder using 15+ natural ingredients including the elite products like nuts and seeds. Also preparing Herbal based Tooth powder for kids. Delivering as a solo-preneur does not go easy always with 6-year-old and 1.5-year-old kids around. A lot of challenges are being faced right from preparation to promotion and in dealings to deliveries. My husband stands out to be the biggest pillar to lean on in every hurdle. I believe the commitment in delivery and customising product for each customer are of paramount importance and that is my USP too. We are what we take internally and externally and I envision healthy external products to incorporate future generation via my Agnes Herbals and I am looking forward to contribute as much as I can with this!!
